  • Open Day 16th Nov. ’24

    The first open day at LAWLOGG in Bootle attracted over 40 visitors, marking a resumption after 20 years. Attendees enjoyed various layouts and demonstrations, including electronic control systems. Feedback from visitors was positive, and the committee anticipates scheduling another event in May 2025.

  • Ellis Clark ‘Black 5’ Trials

    A member of Lawlogg received the eagerly anticipated ‘Black 5’ locomotive from Ellis Clark Trains, which was showcased on the test track. The club is preparing for upcoming exhibitions, such as the Modern Image ‘O’ Gauge Show and Rainhill Show. Meanwhile, various layouts like Ballan Road and Fernhill Junction are being operated and upgraded.

    Model railway enthusiasts are learning from car customisers and turning to wrapping for cost-effective upgrades, as seen in our club treasurer’s project to modernise old coaches. The process involved a wrap, new bogies, and other additions, with significant cost savings compared to purchasing new models. Members can learn more in the club’s upcoming magazine.

  • A trial run from Dunball Wharf station to St. Monica’s Station
