One of the members of Lawlogg recently received his ‘Black 5’ locomotive from the first batch of the hotly-awaited new release from Ellis Clark Trains. After some initial tinkering and programming of the DCC sound chip, it was soon running nicely, as seen in the video, below.
It’s seen here on the Lawlogg test track on Friday 9th Feb. 2024 hauling a few wagons around, in the company of a small shunter and a passenger train using the other roads.
In the background, our treasurer is busy preparing the new fiddle yard for the Ballan Road layout, ahead of its appearance at the Modern Image ‘O’ Gauge Show at Crewe Heritage Centre on 23/24 March 2024.
Before that, the static display cabinet opposite the camera will be going out to Rainhill Model Railway Show on 2/3 March 2024.
Behind the camera, the Dunball to St Monica’s layout was receiving its first operation of a new sequence, while across the corridor in another room, the large loop layout (Fernhill Junction) was being re-wired.
The clubrooms are a veritable ‘hive of industry’ at the moment, which also happens to be the name of the music library track used here, from the legendary KPM1000 series!
